Es un monumento que se realizó en homenaje al progreso de
Cali. La idea fue del diputado Juan Quintero quien le encargó la tarea al
escultor Juan Fisher, al cual pidió trasladarse desde España.
Se construyó en 1926 y es una Cuádriga Romana que, en
principio, estaba colocada en la terraza de la casa del diputado quien
dispuso que a su muerte fuera donada a la ciudad de Cali.
El 11 de diciembre de 1990 y luego de ser restaurada se la
colocó en la avenida Colombia donde hoy se ubica.
